The Pickle And The Potato

Alright, so, apparently a well known photographer which has photographed a few actors, took a photograph of a potato. The photo was purchased by his friend. How much was this photograph of a potato purchased for you may ask? The photograph of “Potato #345 (2010)” sold for $1.08 Million dollars. …

It Is A Baby – FYI

Holiday season greetings everyone. This time of the year is the best when you get to play with all the Christmas lights. Nothing is better than plopping down a baby in front of the lights and telling them to be a baby! Well, this is that result. A baby with …

A Bit Of Scouting

Was on a photo walk the other day, taking a break from finishing a bunch of other tasks I have been taking care of over these past few weeks. The mission was to find a few ideal locations for portraitures… and mission successful! While walking around, however, there were a …

Moons Eclipse

Here is a shot from the Moon last night, turned wallpaper.  Was hoping for a much bigger moon, but it wanted to be dinky, which was kind of disappointing.  The total eclipse was neat to watch.  Sat out there for two hours, from the start of the eclipse to the …

Dinner Portrait Shots

Dressed up and ready for a fancy dinner… AND PHOTOS!!  In matching attire, a young couple ready to enjoy their evening.       The next two are the same shot, however, one is a bit more edited and color toned.  I have fun sometimes playing with colors for a …

Old Photo Restoration – Edgard and Minmay

A photo restoration from some 150’ish year old photos.  In good condition, but faded with age.  The photos were scanned in and digitally repaired.  Spots/cracks/blemishes were fixed, the photos were brightened, color adjusted, and sharpened.  The ‘fuzz’ in the photos is film noise.  The request was to keep them looking …

Pregnancy Silhouette

I love silhouettes almost as much as I love black and white… yet, very seldom do I find the perfect chance to use them.  Well, found one to use!  This photo was taken at nearly 9 months into the pregnancy.

Arlington National Cemetary

Just a couple shots from the stop here.  Was it ever hot!  Changing of the guard was a must see.

Everything Is New

A few shots with a new lens.  Started using the Sigma f/4.0-5.6 70-300mm APO.  This is actually my first zoom lens on the camera.  All the other lenses I have been using are primes.  Fairly nice lens.  Well, not only did I need to get accustomed to that, but also, …

It’s A Dogs World

This is one of the last photos for this beautiful rottweiler, which had unfortunately developed cancer and had to be put down.  A nice and gentle family pet which will always be remembered fondly.

Cavas With Painters Display

A simple shot of a canvas painting, turned a bit more fun, with a bit of this and that thrown in.  After taking numerous canvas shots, only showing the canvas painting, decided to compose a more interesting photo, consisting of the palette and brushes.

A Walk Around Davison Bike Path

Yesterday, I took a walk around the Davison bike path, which I normally finish the route I walked, with my inline skates, in about 20-30 minutes. Walking took me a little over two hours with a few short stops along the way. After work and launch, it put my arrival …

Neon Vibe – Willow Metro Park

Photos below are from the Neon Vibe 5k fun-run, which was held at Willow Metro Park in the Detroit, MI area. It started at dusk and waves of 300 people launched at a time. Along the route were five stations setup to douse participants with neon powder and water. It …

August Photos

So, happy belated birthday to me!!  Sorry self, for wishing self a late birthday. ;( Not much done this month.  I blame the heat.  So in August, there was Back to the Bricks again.  Ended up working at my friends shop on that day.  The day prior, however, was the …

Event Low Lighting

One of the photos which is cycled through on the main page, is one taken at a wedding.  It has a bit of motion blur from one of the kids jumping.  With the exception of that, the shot came together nicely.  This was an event where I was not the …

Back To The Bricks/Bikes On The Bricks

Having both the gallery and blog were redundant, therefore, the gallery is no more, and photos will be posted to the blog.  The images, which were from Back To The Bricks/Bikes On The Bricks – 2013, are re-posted here.

July Photo Shots

A lot of my edits lately, have been ending up in print rather than being posted to the WWW.  Sorry for that. ;)  The prints for these following shots have turned out quite nice.  The are all portrait shots and on-the-fly, with exception of the first one, which had a …

Fall Canvas Shots

Earlier this week, I was asked to take a few photos of some completed canvases, created with oil paints.  Going out into the ‘bitter’ cold for one of them.  Alright, so it wasn’t quite as chilly outside as that, but it sure makes you cold to the bone now, opposed …

Summer’s ‘Super Moon’

Here is what I’m currently using as a wallpaper on my PC.  It was taken during the so-called “Super Moon” earlier during the summer.  I was hoping for a large dull moon, but instead, seen a really tiny bright moon.  The “Super Moon” wasn’t so super.  A download is available …
